I’m more excited about No Less Days than the cat was.
The idea of this book just fascinates me. I want to say the first teaser I saw about it simply said, “David Galloway can’t die.” From there, I couldn’t look away.
And not that the hook needed any help, but No Less Days is also endorsed by Kristen Heitzmann, one of my auto-buy authors. What else could I need? I’m in.

It’s been ages since I’ve read much speculative fiction–even though my own first published short story appeared in a spec fic magazine, um, more than 20 years ago. (Wait, what?…)
More Weekend Reads
This has been a long week in a long month in a year that’s buttering a slip ‘n’ slide, and I am ready to light a citronella candle and sit on my deck with a paperback until the daylight fades. Especially since this particular bundle of bookmail came at the beginning of the month, and it’s been blowing kisses from my short stack ever since.
The other novel pictured, The Long Journey to Jake Palmer by James L. Rubart, also seems like spec fic from the back cover… or maybe magical realism? I’m not positive. After running ragged a few too many days in a row, reading a couple of new-to-me authors sounds just perfect.

Speaking of which, let me introduce you to this hidden gem: The End Begins by Sara Davison is one of the best books I’ve read this year. If near-future romantic suspense with an end-times flair appeals to you, this one deserves a look. It’s fantastic.
